KOCH NITROGEN DONATES $25,000 TO DENNY PRICE FAMILY YMCA PROJECT
ENID, Okla. - Koch Nitrogen Company announced today a donation of $25,000 to the Phase 4 Capital Campaign of the Denny Price Family YMCA in Enid.
“We are very appreciative of Koch Nitrogen's generous contribution,” said Ken Rapp, executive director of the Denny Price Family YMCA. “Its donation will specifically help fund the creation of an interactive teen fitness center. Koch Nitrogen is committed to the support of youth and teens and is to be commended for backing up that commitment by financially supporting youth projects here in Enid and in many other cities.”
The YMCA renovation and expansion is scheduled to be completed by December, 2008. The facility's teen center is slated to open in early 2009. It will offer a variety of high-tech, interactive fitness options, including exercise bikes with video screens that power on when the bike is pedaled, video dance activities, a sport wall that uses ball games and more. Koch Nitrogen's gift helps the YMCA exceed its community goal of $1,050,000 and move closer to its final goal of $1,750,000.
“Our company is pleased to contribute to this great project on behalf of young people in our community,” said Roger Morris, plant manager at Koch Nitrogen Company in Enid. “The teen center will promote fun and fitness while offering a safe place to meet and gather.”
Koch Nitrogen Company and its affiliates produce, distribute and globally market nitrogen fertilizers, including anhydrous ammonia, urea, nitric acid, UAN solutions, ammonium nitrate solution, ammonium polyphosphate and ammonium thiosulfate.
